Adjacent to Peachtree Creek is Buckhead’s Neighborhood Atlanta Memorial Park. Atlanta memorial Park is approximately 200 acres of greenspace and is a memorial for those who died in the Battle of Peachtree Creek. The battle of Peachtree Creek took place on both Tanyard Park and Atlanta Memorial Park. Atlanta Memorial Park is currently the third largest park in the city and was established in 1933. The Park is also home to the historic Bitsy Grant tennis center (which is an Atlanta public tennis facility or 13 clay courts and 10 hard courts) and Bobby Jones golf course.

The park is a memorial to those who died or were injured in the Battle of Peachtree Creek which took place on July 20, 1864. The Atlanta Memorial Park connects to The Atlanta Beltline NW trail.

The Park can be found west of Northside Drive, east of Howell Mill Road and south of Peachtree Battle Ave, directly across from Bobby Jones Gold Course.

Trails at Atlanta Memorial Park. Atlanta Memorial Park does not allow motorized vehicles, fishing, picnicking, drones, and kite flying on trails. Please check the park website for all rules and regulations. Trails open at 6 am for running, walking, bicycling, or observation.

Bobby Jones Golf Course

Located at 2205 Northside Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30305 is Bobby Jones Golf Course which was first opened in Atlanta 1932. It was Atlanta’s very first public golf course. The Golf Course was named in honor of Atlanta’s native and legendary Golfer Robert Tyre Jones Jr A.K.A Bobby Jones, known as one of the greatest Golfer of all time.

Bobby Jones is also known as co-founder of The Masters and a co-founder and designer of Augusta National Golf Club. Jones was also a professional lawyer.

The Golf course was recently redesigned and redeveloped with a reversible nine-hole course, as of the Year 2021 it is one of only two in the U.S.A. The course re-opened in Nov 2018 and brand new facilities were added including the 1new Murray Golf House, The Ed Hoard Golf Shop, Dan Yates Putting course and Boone’s Restaurant which overlooks the course. Also added is a new parking deck. You may book your Tee Time.
